Joe Rogan has revealed that he finally had Donald Trump on his podcast after the presidential candidate was shot earlier this year.
Trump appeared alongside the 57-year-old comedian even though Rogan had previously said he had turned down offers for the former president to appear on the podcast.
Speaking with the presidential candidate in a wide-ranging interview, Rogan referenced Trump’s interview with fellow comedian Theo Von in August of this year.
Trump asked, “Is that why you called me to do this?”, to which Rogan responded, “No. Once you got shot, I thought, ‘He’s got to get in here.'”
Showing the wound he received when gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire on him in July this year, Trump said: “He shot himself right there.”
Rogan, seen here, previously said he had turned down multiple offers to have the former president on his popular podcast.

Rogan responds, “He healed up pretty well,” to which Trump said he wasn’t like the UFC fighters to whom Rogan also offers colorful commentary.
Trump told Rogan that the attempt on his life and the scars had made him a “tougher guy.”
Rogan said in 2022 that he would never include Trump on his podcast for fear it would help his campaign.
During an interview with Lex Fridman in 2022, Rogan told him that he had turned down multiple offers to have Trump on his podcast.
He defiantly said, “I’m not a Trump supporter in any way.” I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once; I have always said no.
‘I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping you.’
He had recently begun to backtrack on this, apparently alluding to the possibility in an episode with guest Patrick Bet-David last year.
Bet-David asked Rogan if he would accept it, to which he casually replied “I don’t know.”
Probing further, Bet-David smiled and suggested that he thought Rogan might have something up his sleeve, to which he cryptically responded, “Maybe.”

Trump is seen here gesturing toward a rally of his supporters after he was shot in the ear in July at an event in Butler, Pennsylvania.
In the same interview with Patrick Bet-David, Rogan also discussed a list of questions he had already thought of in case Trump appeared on his show.
He told his guest: ‘I would like to know what it is like when you come to office. I would like to know things like what is it like versus perception?
‘When do you know people are screwing you? When do you know that intelligence agencies are lying to you?
‘When you decided to fire (former FBI Director James) Comey, what did you think? How much did you know? What is the machine like? What is the deep state really like?
The first question Rogan asked Trump on Friday was what it was like when he actually took office.
Last month, Fridman also interviewed Trump and said he had not been invited to appear on the podcast.
Trump seemed unenthusiastic when talking about Rogan, who was forced to reverse what was seen as an endorsement of Robert F. Kennedy after a MAGA blowback.
Rogan had drawn the ire of Trump supporters, and Trump himself, after a clip from his show indicated he was endorsing RFK Jr. for president.
‘Will it be interesting to see how loudly they boo Joe Rogan the next time he enters the UFC ring?’ Trump asked in a post on Truth Social.
Fridman asked Trump if there was any tension between the two. Trump said: “I don’t think there’s any tension and I’ve always liked it.” But I don’t know him.
As part of his appearance on the podcast, Trump also spoke at length about UFOs, the unopened files on the assassination of JFK and Martin Luther King, as well as his recent brush with death.
