Oritsé Williams, of JLS, was arrested and rescued from the accusations, but now he has been accused
Former JLS pop star Oritse Williams was accused of raping an admirer in a hotel room after a concert.
The singer, 31, was arrested in 2016 for allegedly raping a 20-year-old waitress after promoting his new solo album at the Gorgeous club in Wolverhampton.
He was released on bail several times, but has now been charged with rape.
His friend, Jamien Nagadhana, has been charged with sexual assault for the same alleged attack at the four-star Ramada Park Hall hotel.
West Midlands police confirmed last night: "We have accused two men of sexual crimes after a rape complaint in a hotel in Wolverhampton."
At the time of the arrest, 10 Worlds Music UK, which takes care of Williams, said: "All we want to say at this moment is that Oritse denies the accusations against him.
"The matter is in the hands of the police and it would be totally wrong for us to start more."
MailOnline has contacted Williams to receive comments.
The author told the police that Williams invited her and a friend to a hotel where they started drinking together with another man.
After socializing in the room, the girls say they left to take a taxi home.
But then they realized that they had left a bag with a bag and one of them went to look for it.
That's when the violation occurred, it is alleged.

At the time of Williams' arrest, a West Midlands police spokesman said: "The West Midlands police were called to a hotel in Wolverhampton at 7:45 a.m. on Friday, December 2 after a 20-year-old woman Report a rape and sexual assault.
"A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape and a 29-year-old man arrested on suspicion of sexual assault." Both men were rescued until February, pending further investigation.
JLS jumped to stardom after appearing in the X Factor in 2008. The group, with Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes and JB Gill, sold 10 million albums before disbanding in 2013.
Williams, of Croydon, south of London, was in Wolverhampton promoting his solo album Waterline. He acted at 3 in the morning as seen in a video he posted online.
After his arrest, he resigned his job as ambassador for the MS Society and music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins.
He said in a statement that he was worried that speculation would affect the charities he works with.
"It is with great sadness that I am announcing that I am taking a step back in my charitable work with immediate effect," he said.
"This work has always been a great motivation for me and it is something very close to my heart, and this has not been an easy decision for me."
Williams said there had been a lot of media speculation about the alleged incident.

He continued: "I made a conscious decision to avoid talking to the press about the matter while the police are carrying out their investigation as I do not think it is appropriate to do so.
"Unfortunately, press speculation will probably not help the charities that I work with and the decision I made is based on their best interests."
Williams also asked that all, not least the media, avoid any speculation.
"It's unfair to everyone," he said.
"I would ask that the press respect the privacy of everyone involved and their families at this time, and allow the police to continue their work without further distractions."
