Jesy Nelson has been cruelly mocked after an old clip of her duet with boyfriend Zion Foster resurfaced, as the singer prepares to release her new single Mine.
The former Little Mix singer, 33, is preparing to return to the music scene after leaving the girl band in 2020.
But ahead of the upcoming song, which sees Jesy collaborate with 25-year-old Zion, an old clip has started circulating again on X, formerly Twitter.
The video, which was shared by both on their respective TikTok pages last month, sees the pair lip-syncing to a previously promoted song that reads: “He’s 25 and I’m 33 but she’s the realest man I’ll ever meet.”
The clip garnered over 7,000 likes on Jesy’s account alone and began going viral again ahead of her big day, but this time the singer was criticised for the “inappropriate” lyrics.

Some people were not impressed and were quick to comment on the social media platform, writing:
“He’s 25, I’m 33″ is NOT the inflection you thought was for that lyric”
‘This disaster’;
‘I saw this on TikTok the other day and I was weak for a good hour’;
“This is not serious”;
‘I can’t breathe’;
‘Listen to these 8 lines and it’s already the worst song ever written by a former member of a 2010s girl group, even Ally’s songs are less cheesy’;
“They should have kept it to themselves. The song is romantic and all, but it’s just shit they make and play at home, not release to the public”;
‘The playback, the music style, the lyrics and the way they sound… this is bullshit’;

The criticism, however, was offset by countless praise and many fans were quick to share their excitement for the new single.
“She makes my heart melt.” “He’s 25, I’m 33.” That’s why she’s never allowed to touch a pen in Little Mix.

‘Uhm Jesy, please let go’;
“This sounds good, I don’t know what they’re saying”
‘I love it!’
‘Sounds like a hit!!!’
Earlier last week, Little Mix received a shocking claim that Jesy’s backing vocals on the band’s final song as a group were actually recorded by an impersonator.
The girl group, made up of Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Ann Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Jesy Nelson, formed on The X Factor in 2011, but Jesy left the group in 2020 due to mental health issues.
Little Mix released their final song as a quartet in November 2020, a month before Jesy’s departure. The song, a collaboration with Nathan Dawe, was called No Time For Tears.
But Tre Jean-Marie, who produced the song with Nathan, has now dropped a bombshell claiming Jesy’s backing vocals on the song were not sung by her.
‘Fun fact: all of Jesy’s backing vocals (and even one of the main ones) in No Time for Tears are someone else impersonating her because she was literally over it already,’ Tre wrote on his Instagram Story on Monday.
The producer made the claim in response to news that the song had been certified Gold in the UK charts, after selling 400,000 copies.
MailOnline has contacted Jesy’s representatives for comment.
The claim comes amid former Little Mix member Jade Thirwall’s solo debut, after releasing her debut single Angel Of My Dreams earlier this month.
The 31-year-old singer has been teasing her new music for the past few weeks and fans weren’t disappointed, saying it was “everything they could have ever wanted.”
And Jade didn’t hold back in the music video as she explored a new side of her musical style outside of the band.
Describing the song as her “love/hate letter to the music industry”, the video begins with flashbacks to clips of Jade performing as a child and her original solo audition on X Factor.
Then, throughout the video, the singer acts as a variety of characters while changing her appearance, starting with a furry blue coat and platinum blonde hair piled on top of her head.
Later in the video, she dances through the streets dressed as an angel all in white, before being replaced by a red-headed version of herself.

The album was written in Los Angeles by Jade alongside Steph Jones (Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso), Pablo Bowman (Calvin Harris’ Miracle) and producer Mike Sabbath (RAYE).
Sharing the release of the song on her Twitter, Jade wrote: ‘Angel Of My Dreams is officially out in the world and I don’t know whether to cry, laugh or shit myself.
‘This song means everything to me: my love/hate letter to the music industry, telling my story from the beginning of my journey until now.’
She joked: ‘It’s the perfect introduction and launch into my world as a solo artist, so buckle up, hahaha.’
Thanking her team, she continued: ‘@Mike SabathMusic Pablo Bowman @iamstephjones I can’t explain how grateful I am to have been able to create this magic with you. What a dream team.
“Thank you for allowing our creative brains to merge and run wild. I’m proud of us for throwing the rules of pop out the window.”
She concluded: ‘Thank you to my entire team, from the beginning of my solo project until now: your unwavering belief in this and willingness to support me doing whatever I wanted gave me the creative freedom I needed to become JADE.’
Little Mix fans have gone wild as Jade Thirwall transforms into a variety of eccentric characters for the release of her debut single Angel Of My Dreams on Friday.
