A police officer’s home has been searched as part of a major investigation into the disappearance of former Channel 10 presenter Jesse Baird and her Qantas flight attendant boyfriend Luke Davies.
Detectives arrived at the sandstone house on Waite Avenue in Balmain, in Sydney’s inner west, about 11.30pm on Thursday night.
Several items were removed from the single-story home in evidence bags, and detectives also taped off a nearby alley.
The house belongs to the parents of NSW police officer Beau Lamarre, who police are currently searching for as part of their investigation into the missing couple.
It is understood that Constable Lamarre, who is reportedly on sick leave, could assist police with their investigations.
Police are also searching for a white pickup truck they believe is driven by Lamarre after it was captured in view from a neighbor’s property Monday night.

In footage captured by a neighbour’s property, the pair are seen walking around a corner near the terrace of Mr Baird’s property before stopping to sit on a bench.
The white van is seen passing the couple moments later, after it was caught climbing a sidewalk while heading toward Cooper Street, a road with no through.
Neither Mr Baird, 26, nor Mr Davies, 29, have been seen or heard from since Monday night, after neighbors heard an argument coming from the Paddington home.
It comes as it was revealed Mr Baird’s WhatsApp account was active as of Tuesday evening, however it is unclear who was using the phone at the time.
The search for the missing couple was launched after bloody clothes, credit cards, keys, an $8,000 watch and a mobile phone were found dumped in a bin at the Cronulla Club in Sydney’s south on Wednesday.
Police were then led to Baird’s blood-spattered Paddington home, 30 kilometers away, which has been declared a crime scene.
On February 18, just days before her disappearance, Baird posted photos of the couple together at Pink’s concert in Sydney two weeks ago.
Another photo of the couple taken at the Palm Beach Lighthouse in early February reads: “The perfect start to a long weekend.”

Neither Mr Baird (left) nor Mr Davies (right) have contacted their loved ones since Monday night and have not touched their bank accounts.
Friends of the former TV presenter told police he recently expressed concern that another man was harassing him.
Constable Lamarre first joined the New South Wales Police in 2019, and his mother was a former senior officer with the force.
“Detectives are exploring a line of inquiry so that a third person may be able to assist in the investigation,” police said in a statement Wednesday.
“Police are currently attempting to locate him. Detectives will continue to investigate all past relationships and associations.
Just a year after taking office, a video of him shooting a man in the face with a Taser during a dramatic arrest in Darlinghurst emerged and went viral. He was subsequently cleared by an internal investigation of any wrongdoing.
CCTV footage of the couple’s last known whereabouts on Monday night shows the men wandering outside Mr Baird’s Paddington home before heading towards the back of a terrace. Neither of them have been seen since.
Mr Baird is also an AFL goal umpire and was asked to officiate a practice match between the Sydney Swans and the Greater Western Sydney Giants on Thursday.
The AFL confirmed it contacted his family on Thursday after Baird failed to turn up to referee the match.
Mr Davies’ home in Waterloo, in Sydney’s inner south, was also found empty.
