The contentious court battle between Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan continues more than six years after their split, and their respective legal teams have traded harsh accusations in recent filings.

Lawyers for Dewan, 43, said in documents filed Tuesday that attorneys for Tatum, 44, had been using “every trick in the book to keep this case from going to trial.” People reported after reviewing legal documents.

Tatum’s legal team said in court documents that Dewan’s Aug. 16 request that Tatum’s attorneys at Glaser Weil and Blank Rome be fired over an alleged conflict of interest amounted to “another delaying tactic to prolong our divorce case.”

The main focus of the legal proceedings, which have dragged on for more than six years, centers on the distribution of the money Tatum earns through the Magic Mike film franchise.

The Hartford, Connecticut-born actress, who is the mother of a daughter, Everly, 11, with the Cullman, Alabama-born actor, said in court documents that Tatum has been “attempting to blur the lines” of intellectual property in the Magic Mike franchise.

Dewan said money used during their marriage had been used to fund the lucrative franchise, while Tatum’s lawyers said he never concealed profits or deprived Dewan of “her share of community assets or income.”

Dewan’s attorneys said Tatum’s team is “depriving Jenna of a fair and equitable share of the community estate, and is harming her every day this case continues.”

Tatum’s legal team said Tuesday that Dewan’s latest move was done “solely for the purpose of delaying the upcoming trial,” the outlet reported.

Tatum’s team said in legal documents that the actor “has made exhaustive efforts to resolve all issues in this matter without litigation” since 2018.

They added: “He has made countless settlement proposals, attended multiple mediations, had numerous drafts of sentencing proposals prepared by his attorneys, and has attempted to resolve issues directly.”

Tatum’s attorneys said in a legal response that Dewan’s filing earlier this month was “frivolous” and “has no basis in law or fact” and “a transparent attempt to divert the Court’s attention from his intentional violation of the Court-ordered deposition and discovery deadlines.”

Tatum’s team suggested to the court that Dewan “should be fined $20,000” for the cumbersome request.

An Aug. 28 filing by Dewan’s attorneys stated that Tatum’s attorneys had been forced to disclose “Glaser Weil’s extensive and ongoing involvement in martial transactions involving the Magic Mike intellectual property of the community.

Dewan’s attorneys said it was “shocking” after Tatum “partnered with a new divorce attorney just five months before trial” and “that same attorney created an extensive network of LLCs, each at least partially owned by Channing, for the sole purpose of transacting business related to the community’s Magic Mike intellectual property.”

The Magic Mike franchise spawned the hit 2012 film and multiple sequels—2015’s Magic Mike XXL and 2023’s Magic Mike’s Last Dance—as well as the 2021 HBO Max reality series Finding Magic Mike and a Las Vegas-based show.

Since their split, both have found new romances: Tatum is engaged to actress Zoë Kravitz, 35, while Dewan has been engaged to actor Steve Kazee, 48, since 2020. Dewan and Kazee are parents to son Callum, four, and daughter Rhiannon, two months.

Tatum and Dewan initially met while working on the 2006 film Step Up and became engaged in 2008, exchanging vows on July 11, 2009, in Malibu, California.

Tatum and Dewan said in a joint statement on April 2, 2018 that they were separating, saying, “We fell deeply in love many years ago and have had a magical journey together.

‘Absolutely nothing has changed in terms of how much we love each other, but love is a beautiful adventure that for now takes us on different paths.
