Jeff Bezos puts finishing touches on his $175million Beverly Hills mega-mansion including a reef-themed swimming pool and a tennis court

Jeff Bezos has added the finishing touches to his $175 million mega-mansion in Beverly Hills, which features a reef-themed pool and full-size outdoor tennis courts.

Aerial images of the Amazon founder’s sprawling estate reveal recent updates to the ongoing construction process spanning the past four years; However, the house still appears to be a work in progress.

Recent updates include the installation of private basketball and tennis courts, as well as elaborately designed tropical-themed pools.

Bezos, whose staggering net worth nearly reaches $200 billion, acquired the massive 10-acre estate, formerly owned by former Warner Bros. chairman Jack Warner, in early 2020.

Construction paused briefly in April 2023, when Bezos failed to complete a planning application for a new “playfield fence,” but resumed shortly after in May.

Aerial photographs also show the development of elaborately designed tropical themed pools.

It is composed of a three-story main house, guest house, gym, pergola and guardhouse.

But in April last year, it was revealed that the mega-mansion expansion had been put on hold indefinitely after Bezos failed to complete a planning application for a new “playing court fence”.

Bezos had planned to expand the property with a new pool house, powder room and retaining walls.

An initial request was granted in 2021, but Bezos submitted a new request to add a ‘lit playing field fence’ in January of this year, but it was denied because the paperwork was incomplete.

The original application called for adding about 1,000 square feet to the 28,000-square-foot mansion. However, in just a month construction resumed.

The mega-mansion is just one part of Bezos’ extensive real estate profile, believed to be worth $600 million, as he splits his time between properties with Sanchez.

The purchase set a Los Angeles real estate record before being surpassed by Marc Andreessen, who paid $177 million for a seven-acre property in Malibu the following year.

The record was previously held by media executive Lachlan Murdoch, who paid $150 million for a Bel-Air property known for appearing on the 1960s television show ‘The Beverly Hillbillies.’

The same year he shelled out $10 million for the house next door.

He divides his time between houses with his girlfriend Lauren Sánchez, 53.

Bezos, whose staggering net worth nearly reaches $200 billion, acquired the massive 10-acre estate, formerly owned by former Warner Bros. chairman Jack Warner, in early 2020.

It owns four separate apartments within an art-deco block on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

Three of the apartments within the complex at 25 Central Park West were purchased in 2019 for a reported $80 million.

He then shelled out $16 million this spring for a fourth unit at the height of the pandemic in 2020.

The 1912 building features a gym, yoga studio, treatment room, game room, game room and screening room.

In 2016, he also spent $23 million on a mega-mansion in Washington, DC, three years after purchasing the Washington Post.

The property, which is located in the exclusive Kalorama neighborhood, was previously the Textile Museum.

It is located in the same neighborhood where the Obamas, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump lived.

Bezos, the world’s third richest man, spent three years expanding the property, which at the time of completion had 11 bedrooms and 25 bathrooms.

The tycoon resigned as president of Amazon in 2021.

Bezos shelled out $165 million for this 13,600-square-foot Georgian-style mansion in 2020, setting a record in Los Angeles at the time.

The opulent nine-acre Beverly Hills estate is seen from the air. It was designed in the 1930s by media magnate Jack Warner.

Aerial shots of the mega mansion show construction equipment on the ground, but no workers in sight as of April 2023.

Bezos’ property portfolio is believed to be worth around $600 million. He and his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez divide their time between the properties.

The three-bedroom, four-bathroom home, originally built by architect Sumner Spalding in 1930, was last listed in 2018 for $5.45 million.

The property has since undergone extensive renovations, completed by the design team that also worked on Justin Bieber’s Beverly Hills pad.

Photos taken before the renovation show that the light and airy house features a large kitchen and several spacious living rooms with original fireplaces.
