This is the horrifying moment an Ecuadorian beauty queen was shot dead in a restaurant just months after being “discussed by drug dealers in a secret chat”.
Shocking CCTV footage shows two armed men breaking into a restaurant in Quevedo, Ecuador, on Sunday, while Landy Párraga Goyburo, 23, and another man stood at a table.
As the couple casually chats, the woman can be seen looking out the door window as her attacker sneaks into the restaurant without her noticing.
The former Miss Ecuador contestant then turns towards the man she had been speaking to before the armed men begin charging towards them with their weapons drawn.
The first masked attacker quickly opens fire, shooting toward Párraga and the man, before firing another round of bullets at the woman lying on the ground.

Horror CCTV footage captured the moment Párraga, 23, was chatting to a man in a restaurant moments before his attackers entered.
Masked assailants dressed in black burst into the restaurant and opened fire before fleeing, leaving Párraga dead on the floor in a pool of blood.
The second attacker remains guard by the restaurant door.
Both armed assailants then flee the scene, running out the door and onto the street after carrying out their murder in broad daylight.
The former model can be seen lying motionless on the ground in a pool of her own blood, with a bullet mark visible on her right thigh.
Police are currently investigating the incident, working to uncover the motive and identify the attackers responsible.
Párraga was shot to death after a drug dealer cryptically discussed her before her murder in prison.
Párraga was a Miss Ecuador contestant and represented the province of Los Ríos in 2022.
He had more than a million followers on his social media accounts.
According to El Comercio, at just 23 years old, Párraga owned a household goods importer and had her own line of sports clothing.
On his social networks he shared the luxurious life he led, between trips around the world and meals in luxurious places.
But there was a darker truth behind the glamorous lifestyle portrayed on social media.
In December 2023, his name was mentioned in a chat made public by the Attorney General’s Office as part of a major organized crime case it is investigating.
One of the 52 people prosecuted in the case is Helive Angulo, nicknamed ‘Estimado’.
In the chat, Angulo told drug trafficker Leandro Norero, whose assets he managed, that the police had asked him about Párraga.
Norero wrote cryptically: ‘If my wife finds out anything about her, I’m screwed.
‘My friend, your name cannot appear anywhere. Otherwise my world will collapse.
Norero was murdered in prison in 2022, six months after his imprisonment.
The money transfers made to Párraga’s bank account are under investigation by the Attorney General’s Office.
The office never prosecuted Párraga and she had never publicly commented on the case.
