Jamie Carragher has once again hilariously mocked Gary Neville after he posted a photo of himself laughing at Liverpool before making a comeback in the second half to beat AC Milan.
Sky Sports pundit Neville made the same mistake on Tuesday night, posting a sarcastic video of him laughing accompanied by a goat emoji after Cristiano Ronaldo scored Manchester United’s opening game against the Young Boys.
The post appeared to be a dig at his Monday Night Football partner Carragher, who had argued with Neville that Lionel Messi was the best in the world rather than Ronaldo.

Jordan Henderson scored the winner to give Carragher’s old squad an impressive win
However, Neville was left with an egg on his face as the Young Boys fought back to claim a shocking win over United – and Carragher couldn’t help but mock him by posting a photo of the former defender with his hands in front of his face and this as his new Twitter profile.
Neville clearly didn’t learn his lesson and fell victim to the same fall again on Wednesday night after AC Milan went into halftime at Anfield leading 2-1.
The ex-United man posted two selfies of him looking shocked and smiling on social media, but turned red again when goals from Mo Salah and Jordan Henderson sealed a 3-2 comeback win for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Unsurprisingly, Carragher was quick to mock at Neville’s expense, putting a hilarious filter over his face and writing, “@GNev2 when that goal came in,” accompanied by laughing emojis.
Carragher joked about Neville earlier this week after another premature tweet honoring Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal before Manchester United suffered a shocking defeat to Young Boys
The two pundits, who often tease each other on Sky Sports and social media, got into a heated argument earlier this week as they tried to settle the age-old debate over who is better between Ronaldo and Messi.
Neville, a former team-mate of Ronaldo, is now convinced the 36-year-old is unrivaled in the history of the game, but Carragher claimed he was “carried away” after re-signing for United.
“I’ve always ignored the issue of Ronaldo and Messi, it’s a bit of fantasy and you have to enjoy both,” Neville told Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.
“This morning I was asked by a gentleman who drove me in: if you could pick one player in history to come off the bench and win a match for you, who would it be?
“It would definitely be Cristiano Ronaldo. I think he is the best footballer who ever lived. That’s not prejudice.
“Messi is a ridiculous player who has scored an obscene amount of goals. It’s incredibly similar (on the stats) except for the wrong goals, the headers and the penalties.
The two pundits had a fiery debate on Monday over who is the best between Ronaldo and Messi
Ex-United man Neville believes his former team-mate Ronaldo is better than Messi
“That brings me to a point where he is more complete in terms of the most important part of the game. What tips me is the international record, the most goals of all time and the five Champions Leagues with worse teams than Messi’s.’
Carragher dismissed Neville’s argument, claiming that Messi’s superhuman control over a football and relentless scoring surpassed Manchester United’s new signing.
Ronaldo is not the best player of all time. I’m going to say it’s his buddy here (Messi),’ said the former Liverpool centre-back.
“It doesn’t matter how a ball goes into the net, Messi has more goals than Ronaldo. Messi is also a playmaker, he can lead a game, Ronaldo cannot.
“Talk about who you want off the bench, Messi has scored more goals from the bench, so that’s ridiculous what you said there.
“Ronaldo is doing things other players can do, Messi is doing things we’ve never seen before. That’s not true in terms of goals.
“There’s been a lot of fanfare about Ronaldo from ex-players, I just think you just got carried away.”
