Jack Tweed issues chilling warning to Bobby Brazier ahead of new series of Celebrity Big Brother years after mum Jade's 'soul-destroying' appearance

Jade Goody’s widow Jack Tweed urged her two children not to take part in Celebrity Big Brother after revealing how life fell apart following her own appearance in 2007.

Jack has advised Eastenders and Strictly star Bobby Brazier, 20, and his brother Freddie, 19, to avoid the new ITV series.

Millions of people are expected to tune in to the revamped show and ITV producers hope to capitalize on the success of last year’s series by reviving its celebrity spin-off, six years after it aired on Channel 5.

Jack, 36, appeared alongside Jade in 2007, but the show ended in disaster when she became embroiled in a major racial scandal.

With his children forging successful careers in entertainment, Jack, who now lives in Brentwood, Essex with his new partner, has warned against moving forward.

He said: ‘My advice would be to stay away. Not worth it. Jade and I didn’t have a great experience. It ended in disaster.

“I didn’t feel comfortable at all in that experience. You feel very exposed. It’s constant. He feels trapped. We met some nice people but I wouldn’t recommend it.

‘This caused a lot of problems. If you asked me what I thought after doing it, I would say I avoided it.

“It was constant boredom. She would wake me up, shower me, and then ask me what to do next. It was heartbreaking at times. It was difficult.’

Jack said Jade’s two children are “flying” and appearing on the show wouldn’t be worth “taking the risk.”

She added: ‘Jade would be so proud of them both. I know who I am. That program caused big problems. It was a total nightmare.

“They are both doing brilliantly, it just wouldn’t be worth the risk.” I’m sure that will be the official advice they will receive as well.

‘These reality shows sound great for young people and young people, but they also have negative aspects. It’s not everything they should be.

This is not the first time the father has warned Jade’s children about being in the public spotlight, based on his own experiences and those of his late wife Jade.

He previously described showbiz as a “tough game” and added: “I would tell Bobby to be careful, especially the more successful he becomes.”

“I know he’s got good people around him and he’s got a good head on his shoulders and his dad Jeff is looking out for him.

‘It’s very difficult to trust people in that industry. I found people who were constantly trying to turn you in and take you out for their own benefit.

‘It is the nature of the beast. Many people went behind Jade’s back to make money from her.

‘It’s about greed. That world is full of snakes. I’m sure Bobby will be careful with that. It’s a tough game and I’ve told you so.

‘Jade had a lot of fake people around her. They tried to be her companion, but they didn’t have her best interests at heart at all.

‘Bobby needs to be careful with that. But he has good people around him and that’s the important thing. He has the world at his feet.’

Jack previously spoke out calling for TV shows and companies to do more to protect contestants’ mental health in light of a spate of suicides on reality TV.

He said: “There needs to be a greater duty of care around those types of issues.” “The mental health impacts can be enormous.”

Jack, who had previously talked about smoking cannabis, says he is now drug-free and only drinks socially on rare occasions.

He lives with his girlfriend Ellie Sargeant, 28, but said he would always love Jade.

Jade took part in the third series of Big Brother in 2002 and applied for a place on the show by submitting a video of herself putting her entire body through an elastic band.

During her stay in the house, Jade left viewers in hysterics with a number of questions, including her questioning whether ‘East Angular’ was in the UK or abroad.

He also wondered if the croissants were English because he “bought them with a full English breakfast”, whether Jerusalem was a real place or “only in the Bible”, and “Do they speak Portuguese in Portugal?” I thought Portugal was in Spain.

In a tearful exchange, Jade also uttered the iconic quote: ‘Am I fucking around?’

However, he still made it to the final, finishing in fourth place and earning a warm reception from the crowd when he left the house.

She re-entered the house with her then-boyfriend Jack for Celebrity Big Brother in January 2007.

During Jade’s time in the house, she clashed with her housemate, Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, even calling the actress ‘Shilpa Poppadom’ and mocking her for bleaching her facial hair.

One particular moment that caused the most outrage was a huge fight between Jade and Shilpa over an Oxo Cube.

Jade told Shilpa that she was “not a fucking princess here” and she replied that she needed “etiquette classes”, while her housemates Danielle Lloyd and Jo O’Meara laughed the entire time.

In 2007, Ofcom received more than 44,500 complaints from the public (a record at the time), and bosses opted not to have a live crowd when Jade was evicted from the house.

Such was the scandal at the time that, although Shilpa did not make an official complaint about racist behavior to Big Brother, her allegations forced the police to investigate the possible classification of her treatment as “racial hatred”.

While Jade gave interviews in the following days apologizing for her behavior, the backlash halted her career and she signed up for The Priory before stepping away from the spotlight in 2007.

The show will reboot next month and in a bid to revive elements of the original show, the opening episode will be filmed live unlike last year’s civilian series premiere which was pre-recorded.

According to The Sun, producers wanted to be able to keep viewers surprised with a live show, despite the additional pressure it put on the production team.

A source told the publication: “Producers wanted to bring back that feeling of anything could happen to the start of Celebrity Big Brother, even if it will be a slightly more stressful experience for them.”

“It will also ensure bosses can keep a few more surprises in store, in terms of which famous housemates they plan to reveal that night.”

The original broadcast of the reality show always included a live opening as the contestants entered the famous house; However, ITV opted to film its first 24 Hours episode early last year.
