Jack Black’s Tenacious D bandmate Kyle Gass was spotted in public for the first time since the School of Rock star announced the band was on an indefinite hiatus.
The duo were forced to cancel their Spicy Meat Ball tour in Australia and New Zealand after Gass came under fire for making a disgusting joke about the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.
Black stated that the duo will “be back” when he attended a fan event for his latest film, Borderlands, on Tuesday.
A day later, Gass was photographed in his signature casual look while walking through the streets of Los Angeles.

The single father was seen wearing a white tank top, navy blue shorts, a pair of sunglasses and a summer hat as he walked briskly.
Yesterday, Black revealed the couple’s future plans, saying Entertainment Tonight: ‘I love Tenacious D… We had to take a break, but I love the D.
“Everyone takes a break sometimes. We’ll be back,” he added.
Tenacious D was on stage in Sydney, Australia, on Sunday, July 14 when Black brought out a birthday cake for his bandmate Kyle Gass and asked him to make a wish.
Gass responded: “Don’t miss Trump next time.”
The crowd responded mostly with cheers and laughter, with only a few disappointed reactions.

The 54-year-old School of Rock star was forced to cancel his Spicy Meat Ball Tour after bandmate Kyle Gass made a disgusting joke about the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.
However, Gass was heavily criticized for this comment.
He later issued a statement on social media, writing: ‘The line I improvised on stage in Sydney was highly inappropriate, dangerous and a terrible mistake.
‘I do not condone violence of any kind, in any form, against anyone.
“What happened was a tragedy and I am deeply sorry for my grave lack of judgment. I deeply apologize to those I have disappointed and I sincerely regret any pain I have caused.”
Black and Gass have cancelled their band’s six remaining tour dates in Australia and New Zealand and later said their future creative plans were on hold.
“I love Tenacious D… We had to take a break, but I love the D’s,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “Everyone takes a break sometimes. We’ll be back.”
Gass’ comments sparked divisive reactions online, with Kyle Sandilands banning Tenacious D from his radio show for life in the wake of the comment.
Speaking to The Kyle & Jackie O radio show, host Sandilands said: “That guy is wishing death on Trump. A note to our talent agents: I will not be participating in any future Tenacious D interviews.
“For someone to wish death on someone who was almost killed, all joking aside, is too much for me. Anyone who wishes death on another person is actually a piece of shit.”
