- The third season follows Australia’s tour of England
- Behind the scenes of the controversial Lord’s Test
Never-before-seen footage of Pat Cummins’ incredible year with the Australia Test team will air later this month after Amazon Prime released its trailer for season three of The Test.
The three-part series will mainly focus on Australia’s explosive tour of England, which saw the tourists successfully defend the Ashes, albeit in quite controversial fashion.
Cummins and wicketkeeper Alex Carey became public enemy No. 1 following the defeat of Jonny Bairstow during the second Test match at Lord’s in London.
The incident made major news in the UK and Australia, with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak weighing in on the scandal, while English fans roundly booed Cummins and Carey for the rest of the series.
The typically placid MCC were also enraged by the incident, with members coming to blows with Australian David Warner as the team walked down the long hall for lunch shortly after Bairstow’s dismissal.
Never-before-seen footage from the controversial Lord’s Test will be released on May 24.

“The third season of The Test captures the gripping fight between Australia and India in the World Test Championship final, and the extraordinary behind-the-scenes drama of the 2023 Ashes in England,” said Richard Ostroff, head of broadcast and production at Cricket. Australia.

“Given how dramatic the World Test Championship final and The Ashes in England were, this season promises to share the fascinating moments that took place behind the scenes that have never been shown before,” said directors Adrian Brown and Sheldon Wynne.
