A mum who splashed out $400 on her son’s birthday party was left furious after none of the guests turned up – including her own father and brother.
Anber, of Las Vegas, had paid for catering, snacks, a bounce house and decorations for his daughter’s birthday party at his home in April after inviting several friends and family.
The mother of five took to TikTok to criticize guests for “not bothering” to show up, let alone call or message to notify family that they weren’t in attendance.
Anber raised a video to his @anberx5 account showing off his decorated but deserted backyard on the day of the party, along with food and games on display for the kids to enjoy.
Captioning the footage with, “I literally cried… I spent over $400,” the mother added an overlay text that read, “POV when no one shows up at her daughter’s birthday party.”

In the first part of the 13-second clip, Anber’s young son is seen wiping away tears while sitting on a bench in the garden.
He later clarified that it was because he was “hurt” that no one showed up to celebrate his little sister’s birthday.
Anber then panned the camera to show a colorful bouncy castle complete with a slide, a ball pit, pink and yellow balloons tied to furniture, and a banner featuring Yo Gabba Gabba cartoon characters.
He then showed off the food he planned to offer guests, including an entire table filled with snacks like Doritos, Cheetos, and Ruffles chips, as well as a platter of cold cuts and cheese.
In the kitchen, several trays of prepared food that the mother had ordered in advance were left to heat on the stove, while trays of chopped pineapple, watermelon, mango and apple sat idle next to plates with Mexican garnishes such as lime, onion and cilantro.

He stated that he expected guests to start showing up at the birthday party from 2pm, and had even made sure to confirm with them at 10am that they would be coming.
The “most” of the guests were family, as well as a “couple” of friends who had planned to bring their own children. However, by 5pm, no one had “bothered” to show up or get in touch to notify the family that they would not be coming.
Anber added that she tried calling and messaging absent guests throughout the day, but was ignored and has since decided to stop contacting them.

One dad even offered a solution to avoid future party disappointments by suggesting a ‘Yes Day’, writing: ‘Instead of a party, we celebrated a Yes Day on his birthday. They choose where we eat and where we spend the day. We have made water parks, zoos, etc.’
