Marcus Rashford appeared to confront a member of the crowd inside Old Trafford during the Manchester United team warm-up ahead of their match against Newcastle on Wednesday night.
The England striker appeared to be warming up on the sidelines with the rest of his team, but appeared to become enraged by comments directed at him by members of the public who had arrived early to watch the players warm up.
In a video the striker can be seen confronting several members of the crowd and responding to them. In another, he was seen being pulled from the sideline by his teammates.
In the video fans can be heard apparently shouting ‘Rashford!’ and booing the 26-year-old.
One person was heard saying ‘Oi d*******’, as the Man United star walked away from the edge of the pitch. His teammate Cristian Eriksen can also be seen trying to distract herself from the spectators’ comments by grabbing his arm and appearing to pull him away from walking towards the stands.
In a separate video, a fan can be heard telling those sitting near a group of photographers to “just leave him (Rashford) alone.”
