Veruca Salt has been hit with fresh upset when her beloved cat went missing just days after the devastating death of her newborn baby Cash.
The Australian influencer, 25, has been in mourning after announcing the heartbreaking news that her six-week-old baby Cash had “died in his sleep” on Monday morning.
Just days later, further devastation hit Veruca, whose real name is Kimberley Summer Hartley, revealing that her beloved cat was missing.
Veruca took to her Instagram Stories on Saturday to share the news with her followers, explaining that her cat hasn’t returned home since Monday.
She posted an earlier photo of the ginger and white cat with her late baby Cash and asked fans to message her if they saw her pet in Southport, Queensland.

It comes after Veruca revealed in a heartbreaking Instagram post on Tuesday that her newborn son Cash had ‘suddenly died in his sleep’ the previous morning.
āI write this with great regret. “My baby died in his sleep on Monday morning,” she wrote.
“I don’t know what happened, they’re doing an autopsy this week, but it’s unlikely I’ll ever get an answer.”
Veruca took to Instagram on Saturday to share the news with her followers, explaining that her cat hasn’t returned home since Monday while sharing a previous photo of her pet with baby Cash.
“I’m only saying this because people are still commenting on my TikToks saying how happy I look with him and ‘just wait for the kid stage’ and stuff, and I really can’t take it anymore.” Very sorry.’
Queensland Police said initial investigations indicate the death was not suspicious.
“At the moment it is still under investigation and we are awaiting the results of the autopsy,” Gold Coast Superintendent Craig Hanlon said.
“It’s obviously a tragic situation and our hearts go out to the mother and the family.”
Police confirmed they were called to a unit in Southport at around 6.13am on Monday.
Since the tragic news, Veruca’s social media posts have been flooded with messages of support from attentive fans.
Her best friend, Michael Finch, also took to Instagram on Thursday to share a heartfelt tribute to Veruca and Cash following the devastating news.

She was forced to hit back at a TikTok user who questioned how she could post videos on the social media platform following the death of her newborn.

On Wednesday night, Veruca responded: ‘Your baby is not dead, mine is.
“I was literally talking about this with my friends, like it didn’t take a long time to do something for people to say ‘this is not how I would act’ from people who are literally imagining what it would be like,” he said.
