A company worker has revealed her usual question at the end of job interviews, and her trick has allowed her to get the job every time.

Catherine Lockhart, from Texas, shared that the best advice she had ever received was to ask, “What does excellence look like in this position?” at the end of an interview.

The 28-year-old worked in the consulting and sales sector right after finishing university.

‘I use this tip in the interview process and every time I ask it, the interviewer always says, “Wow, that’s a great question.” So when you get to the end and they ask if you have any questions, your answer should always be “yes,” she said in a video.

He explained: “It gives the interviewer a chance to explain a little more about the day-to-day functions of the position.”

The question also shows that you are interested in the position and plan to do a great job when you get it.

“It lets the interviewer know that you are serious about performing and exceeding their expectations,” Catherine said.

He also warned against the one question you should never ask.

“Don’t mention PTO (paid time off); don’t ask if they have other benefits,” he advised.

Many agreed with Catherine’s suggestions.

“If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me how much free time they have in an interview,” one recruiter said. ‘And I never hired those people!’

‘The question can also raise red flags. If an interviewer answers, “Our top performers are always working, working overtime, and available on weekends,” then you can decide if that’s the kind of work-life balance you want,” wrote another.

Some shared some other tips and tricks.

‘I ask them if they have any concerns about me taking on the role and they address it right there! I received all the job offers with that question,’ said one.

“Another great question is to ask the interviewer what gives you the most satisfaction in your role,” said one man.

‘They love to talk about themselves!’
