Food Network star Sandra Lee has revealed that she recently became very sick after trying weight loss injections.

The 57-year-old TV chef and author said that although she lost 10 pounds, the worrying side effects overshadowed the cosmetic benefits.

“I tried them recently and one of them put me in bed for a whole week,” he said. Fox News on the red carpet at the 8th annual The Daily Front Row Fashion Awards in Los Angeles.

‘I lost 10 pounds but I was as sick as could be. And so, I don’t know, for each person it is what their body can bear and tolerate. It wasn’t for me.’

Lee did not disclose whether the injections he tried were Ozempic or a different weight management medication.

The Hollywood hype surrounding weight loss drugs has reached dizzying levels over the past year, and many celebrities have experienced dramatic transformations after using a jab.

Fans like Kelly Osbourne, 39, Oprah Winfrey, 70, Amy Schumer, 42, and Boy George, 62, have been open about their use of Ozempic.

However, some have also warned against the grim side effects, including Stephen Fry, 66, who said his “staggering” weight loss took a toll after it caused him to vomit up to five times a day.

Sharon Osbourne, 71, also said she was glad she started using the drug but regretted continuing after her weight dropped below seven stone, saying: “Be careful what you wish for.”

Although she cooks up storms for a living, California-born Lee is no stranger to diet and weight loss culture.

The chef revealed she began a strict cleanse on Christmas Day 2020 after gaining 30 pounds over the course of the year to reach a weight of 170 pounds.

“No clothes fit me and, even worse, I feel terrible,” she wrote. ‘I feel better at 140 pounds. I’m 5’9” ​​and it’s a good weight for me.’

Lee said she was inspired by her sister Kimber, who cleanses “all the time” using the NutriClean system.

The foodie wasted no time in kick-starting her diet and began the cleanse on Christmas Day. Lee said she didn’t drink alcohol during the holidays: “Not even New Year’s Eve.”

Lee also took many vitamins, including vitamin C, vitamin D, magnesium, zinc, calcium and “some other surprising things.”

The chef previously made headlines for rumors that she secretly married her fiancé Ben Youcef after they were both seen wearing rings in St Tropez.

Lee said the Algerian actor had been very supportive of her after suffering a “tough” hysterectomy in 2022.
