I have long hair growing from the middle of my forehead – cruel trolls tell me to cut off my ‘antenna’ but I have learned to embrace it

A woman who was born with a birthmark on her forehead that grows long hairs has lifted the lid on the intense trolling she has been subjected to, with people telling her to cut or laser off the ‘antenna’.

Rada Prelevic, who lives in Norway, has had long hair growing from his forehead, below his hairline, from his birth.

The 18-year-old model has been inundated with comments on social media from people criticizing her unique appearance.

But she insists that she loves it and has come to accept her differences.

Rada shared: ‘My comment sections are full of hate. I get hate daily online. People are very bad about it. I get a lot of hate, both online and in real life.

‘Some people at school love to ask me what it is and then look at me.

‘[On social media, others] I’ll be DMing and writing long messages telling me I should get rid of it, laser cut it, or cut it.

‘One person even wrote to me saying he would find me and cut it off while I was sleeping. That really scared me.

‘I no longer feel safe because of a birthmark. I just don’t understand this world and this society today.’

Growing up, Rada’s experience was largely positive.

She said: ‘My birthmark has really been with me all my life. It never bothered me.

‘I remember as a child, I had been bullied in kindergarten for that, [asking]”Mom, why do I have this on my forehead, why don’t my brothers have it?”

‘And she responded to me in such a beautiful way [and would say]”because you are unique.”

“I loved that answer, so when everyone asked me why and what, I just told them, ‘it’s because I’m unique.’

Rada began sharing clips of herself on TikTok, but was horrified when the posts went viral and attracted negative attention due to her forehead.

In a post, which attracted 2.4 million views, he explained his feelings towards his brand and the trolling he has received.

She shared: ‘I’m not going to shave it. I think it’s very nice and I’m very lucky to have it.

‘You don’t see this [mark] every day and I love it. I don’t feel strange. I feel pretty and unique.’

Commenting on the clip, one user said: “That’s all I watch.”

‘Wow, I didn’t know that [it] It’s possible,” said another viewer.

Someone else described it as an “antenna”, while others begged him to laser cut or hack it, while another person said: “I want to make it.”

Someone else commented: ‘Oh no, that would drive me crazy.’ I’d probably just have bangs to hide it. But hey, it’s up to you and you like it, so you do it!’

But other viewers loved this unusual feature.

One person said: ‘Why are people so mean?’ I LOVE IT??? It’s like the same vibration as an eyebrow or something, but quite the opposite. It’s so good.’

Someone else commented: ‘You are pretty and unique. I hope the nasty comments don’t wear you down. Honestly, I don’t know what’s wrong with people.
