A 40-year-old man has been given a criminal record after admitting ‘talking loudly’ to his wife during an argument.

Pawel Wadek admitted to behaving in a manner at their home in Perth on October 11 last year that would likely arouse fear or anxiety in Wioletta.

But he was pardoned by a sheriff and allowed to escape his sentence after raising his voice during “a relatively minor dispute.”

Defense attorney Pauline Cullerton said: “Reports confirm he has behaved well since the incident.”

Sheriff Neil Bowie admonished Wadek and said he… ‘behaved in a threatening or abusive manner in the sense that you spoke loudly to your wife and took her hands’.

He continued: “I heard details about this case a few months ago.

“Under the circumstances, I’m confident I can simply admonish you.

‘In the end you were convicted of a relatively minor dispute, but nevertheless this is an incident that you certainly hope to prevent in the future.

“Since then you’ve stayed out of trouble and it seems to me that this was an isolated incident.”
