Lunden Roberts revealed in a new interview with Megyn Kelly on Friday that it was “hurtful” that first lady Jill Biden did not “intentionally” put up a Christmas stocking for her daughter, Hunter Biden’s love child, Navy Joan.
Roberts has written a tell-all book about her relationship with Hunter. Out of the Shadows: My Life Inside the Wild World of Hunter Bidenwhich will be released in August and is doing rounds of interviews before it hits shelves.
Kelly, a former Fox News host, highlighted the “callousness” of Roberts and Navy Joan, specifically for the first lady, and the Biden family only acknowledged the girl’s existence in July.
He went on to ask Roberts about the Christmas stocking display, which for several years included six, but not seven, names of the Bidens’ grandchildren, and even the names of White House pets.

The 2021 White House Christmas Stocking Display had six stockings, but not seven, from the grandchildren of President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.
In 2023 – after the recognition of Marina Joan – the stockings were left out of the Christmas decorations.
“It’s painful to see the matriarch of a family who is supposed to unite a family, deliberately exclude someone part of that family and part of that lineage,” Roberts said. “And that’s something that one day my daughter will read and see.”
“It breaks my heart to know that it will break her heart to read and see the things she will see about exclusion,” Roberts continued. “And she’ll wonder why and all I can do is be there for her when she’s old enough to understand these things.”
Roberts revealed that when she spoke to Hunter for the first time since she was pregnant, “that was something I mentioned to her.”
Kelly didn’t look for the first son’s answer.
He went on to ask how Roberts planned to explain the exclusion to Navy Joan, who has yet to meet with any members of the Biden family.
‘That’s hard, because it’s one of those things where I have to tell you but I can’t tell you why. I can’t explain other people’s behavior to you. “All I can say is I’m sorry,” Roberts said.
She added that she has a lot of “motherly guilt” for the circumstances.
The 2022 White House stocking display named all six of Biden’s grandchildren (Navy Joan is the seventh) and the White House pets.

And I feel guilty because I’m the reason she’s in this situation. This is the son I had with him. “I got myself into that situation and I feel like I’m to blame for it,” Roberts said.
In an interview this week with Piers Morgan, Roberts said Hunter and Navy Joan are building a relationship over Zoom calls.
Roberts said he would continue to work with Hunter to make sure Navy Joan met her father, but acknowledged that the first child is busy.
Hunter has been in federal court in Wilmington facing federal charges for purchasing a gun in 2018 and saying he did not use drugs, when his crack addiction was in full swing.
“So that’s something that I hope that with Hunter and Navy’s relationship growing, maybe he can turn things around and try to explain those behaviors to her and why,” Roberts told Kelly about the Biden family snubs.
