Hunted has been branded ‘unwatchable’ by furious viewers who claim the show is ‘rigged’ after the team were able to find CCTV footage of a contestant boarding a private plane in Suffolk .
In last night’s episode of the hit Channel 4 series, Jack, 27, from London, turned to friends and family to help him leave Newmarket.
Earlier in the series, the product developer accidentally became separated from teammate Alex when the hunters discovered they were staying at a friend’s house in the countryside.
After learning that the hunters were on his trail again, Jack’s friend Thady asked an acquaintance to fly him across the country from a small racetrack near his home.
Sitting aboard the private plane, Jack told the cameras: ‘They don’t have a Scooby Doo where I am and where I’m going. Let’s get this shit out of here!’

The show then cuts to the hunters discovering CCTV footage from Newmarket Racecourse in July, showing Jack boarding the plane while the ‘fugitive’ is still in the air.
Thanks to this breakthrough, the hunters learn that the two friends had separated and were able to follow Jack’s plane which was heading north.
Speaking to the camera, one of the Hunted team said: “At the end of the day, you can’t get out of a plane. We’ll know where he’s going to land.
“If he lands in a place where we have a crew, that could be the biggest mistake he makes.”
However, fans of the series were unimpressed with the development and wondered how the hunters were able to check the racecourse’s CCTV camera, which was pointing directly at the plane.
One wrote: “This is way too easy for hunters. How would they know to look at this racetrack?
Calling the show “unwatchable”, another reviewer joked: “We have CCTV footage from a random fucking camera in the middle of nowhere that just so happens to be pointing at the fucking plane that are our fugitives, we continue.
Meanwhile, a third raged: “Lisa goes on to say how stupid the contestants are but thinks viewers believe they had access to random CCTV that just happened to be in a random field pointing directly towards the plane!” What a load of bullshit!!’

Hunters discovered CCTV footage from Newmarket Racecourse in July, showing Jack boarding the plane while the ‘fugitive’ was still in the air.
Fans of the series were left unimpressed by the development – and wondered how the hunters were able to check the racecourse’s CCTV camera, which was pointing directly at the plane.
“I loved Hunted but it’s so settled these days that the contestants don’t stand a chance,” moaned a fourth.
A fifth replied: “We always know it’s staged, but this series seems to be even more so than ever.”
However, others came to the show’s defense and argued the hunters knew to check the racecourse footage because Thady, from Newmarket, was a known associate.
“They found Thady, so there was a connection,” one supporter said.
Another added: “The disclaimer at the beginning says that state powers are being replicated.
“They got the information because Newmarket was on their radar because of Thady.”
At the start of each episode, viewers are informed: “For the purposes of this series, some state powers have been reproduced, such as CCTV and ANPR.”
Additionally, this isn’t the first time the series has been called “fake.” In May 2022, viewers were left baffled after a contestant was seen reuniting with her children in the evening before meeting a friend in broad daylight in back-to-back scenes.
