Meghan Markle’s absence from an upcoming visit to the UK with Prince Harry has “brought a huge sigh of relief to Kensington Palace” as King Charles is set to “get closer” to Prince Archie on his birthday, he claimed a real expert.
The Duke of Sussex, whose son Archie celebrates his fifth birthday today, will attend a service at St Paul’s Cathedral on Wednesday to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
Royal expert Tom Quinn has claimed that royal aides were quietly relieved that the Duchess of Sussex did not join her husband on the UK leg of his trip, but instead joined Harry in Nigeria afterwards.
speaking to MirrorThe expert said: “There was a huge sigh of relief at Kensington Palace when it was confirmed that Meghan would not be accompanying her husband to the UK.”
What’s more, the expert also stated that King Charles is “desperate” to have a relationship with Archie and Lilibet, who are growing up in California.

He also said Mirror that the monarch ‘does not like new technologies’ and feels ‘uncomfortable’ with the idea of making a video call.
The expert continued: “If you make a normal phone call to Harry, it means you can briefly talk to Archie without needing to talk to Meghan.”
In April 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Archie video called the late Queen to wish her a happy 94th birthday, and the couple reportedly instructed their spokesperson to email a carefully curated selection of posts selected to share the news shortly after.
Ahead of his visit this week, Prince Harry was reportedly “very interested” in seeing his father during his trip to the UK.
The duke is said to have “maintained regular contact” with King Charles following his cancer diagnosis in February.
After recently announcing he would resume public duties, the King will attend Buckingham Palace’s first garden party of the year from 4pm on Wednesday.
The Invictus Games garden party and ceremony is expected to end around 6 p.m., allowing the two to meet in person for the first time since February, the Sun reports.
“It’s clear he’s looking forward to seeing his father as he continues his recovery and most people are expecting another reunion of some kind next week,” the source said.
The expert also claimed that King Charles (pictured) is “desperate” to have a relationship with Archie and Lilibet, who are growing up in California.

However, such a meeting is unlikely to include Prince William in attendance.
On Thursday, William is likely to be out of London and on Friday he has engagements in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Nigerians are “excited” to welcome their “daughter” Meghan Markle on a royal visit with her husband next month after Prince Harry attends an event in London.
Social media users with links to the country said they were “overwhelmed with joy” and promised a “celebration” to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
It comes after Meghan revealed in 2022 that she discovered she was “43 per cent Nigerian” following genealogy research conducted “a couple of years” earlier.
The couple will head to Nigeria after being invited by the African country’s chief of defense staff, who met Harry last September at the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf.
Daniel Egwu, who lives in Enugu, Nigeria, tweeted: ‘I’m excited about this news! Our dear sister Meghan and brother-in-law Harry are welcome to Nigeria!’

Another X user wrote: ‘Harry and Meghan are coming to Nigeria in May! We can’t wait to welcome you! And our good sister returns home for the first time. We’ve been waiting since she found out that she is a daughter of the earth.
Harry referenced Meghan’s Nigerian heritage at the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf last September, after Nigeria joined Colombia and Israel in sending its first delegation to the event.
‘We are very excited to have new nations joining us. Let’s hear it for Colombia, Israel and Nigeria,” Harry told the crowd at the Merkur Spiel-Arena.
“Now, I’m not saying we have favorites in our house, but since my wife found out she’s of Nigerian descent, it’s probably going to get a little more competitive this year!”
