A driver was forced to perform a '78-point turn' after his Hyundai got stuck

A disgruntled buyer was forced to execute a ’78-point turn’ after his Hyundai became stuck in the driveway of a busy Westfield.

The driver found himself in a difficult situation after realizing he was going the wrong way in the Westfield Hornsby car park on Sydney’s Upper North Shore.

Instead of backing up, they tried to do a three-point turn.

In footage captured by another driver, the car is seen slowly moving back and forth for several long minutes before climbing onto the sidewalk.

After dozens of maneuvers, the driver was able to free the car before they drove away.

The footage, which was later shared on Reddit, quickly caught the attention of Australians, who questioned how the driver had gotten stuck.

“A high level of stupidity and skill on display here,” one wrote.

“Bro really decided that running a 78 point turn was the only option,” said a second.

A third shared: “I’m still confused as to why you wouldn’t reverse around the corner.” But hey, I guess a 20-point turn works too.’

‘I can’t be the only one looking at this thinking, how the hell did you get into that situation?’ a fourth commented.

“That reversing camera must have had a panic attack today,” wrote a fifth.

An onlooker asked if the driver had been trying to avoid paying for parking.

“You’d be surprised how many times I’ve seen people go up that entrance out of sheer stupidity,” the original poster responded.
