Heather Watson’s Wimbledon singles adventure comes to an end after her fourth round defeat to Germany’s Jule Niemeier.
It was the Brit’s first appearance at this stage of a Grand Slam, but it proved to be a step too far as she was defeated 6-2 6-4 in straight sets.
Watson’s departure means that Cameron Norrie, who has just started his fourth-round draw against Tommy Paul from the US, is the last British singles player to be in SW19.
