Reports say the man, identified as soldier Khamatov, suffered “minor injuries.”
He is a native of Uzbekistan who enlisted to fight for Vladimir Putin’s illegal invasion of Ukraine, Telegram channels say.
The Kremlin propaganda outlet Readovka praised his lack of fear when the drone, loaded with explosives, sounded him off.
He said that “he knocked him down masterfully, hitting him with a sack of potatoes.”
The uniformed fighter is then seen taking cover behind nearby trees following the explosion and thick cloud of smoke.
It comes after the revelation that Russian soldiers returning from war killed and injured more than 200 people.
The killings were carried out mostly by soldiers who were previously imprisoned, but who were released to reinforce the number of people on the front lines in Ukraine.
But some deaths were the result of men carrying the savagery of war into civilian life.
