However, in a joint post on Instagram and Facebook on Tuesday, Rubix announced a schedule change.

They wrote: ‘Unfortunately, Nadine Coyle is no longer able to play Kubix due to exhaustion, but we hope she gets enough rest and will invite her back to a future Festival.’

At the same time, they announced that ’90s boy band Damage, known for their 1996 hit Forever, will take their place.

MailOnline has contacted Nadine’s representative for comment.

The Girls Aloud Show Tour was the group’s first tour without Sarah and they paid tribute to her at each of their shows.

Girls Aloud incorporated images and even Sarah’s voice into their performances of their hit songs.

A notable inclusion was Sarah’s infamous “Walking Primrose” bridge on her 2008 smash hit, The Promise.

This was especially moving when the group performed in Sarah’s native Manchester, with Sarah’s mother Marie in attendance.

Sarah announced a year before her death at the age of 39 that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer which had unfortunately spread to other parts of her body.

During her final months, Sarah moved in with Cheryl and her son Bear, whom she shares with Liam Payne.

Following her death, Nadine, Cheryl, Kimberley and Nicola decided to fulfil Sarah’s final wish and go on tour to pay tribute to her.

Proceeds from the sold-out Girls Aloud Show were donated to The Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal, which has helped raise vital funds for research into the disease.

At Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena, where the tour ended on June 30, the group performed along to a previously unreleased recording of their 2004 hit I’ll Stand By You, which featured only Sarah’s vocals.

I’ll Stand By You, originally performed by The Pretenders in 1994, was the official Children in Need 2004 charity single.

Despite being announced just 10 days before its release, the song became Girls Aloud’s second number one.

Moments before the four girls left the stage for the final time, a photograph of Sarah appeared behind them with the caption: ‘In loving memory of Sarah Nicole Harding. 17.11.81 05.09.2021’.
