England are in search of a new manager, one who will look to continue the successful run the Three Lions achieved under former manager Gareth Southgate.

Sunday’s final was the second major final in four attempts under Southgate. England’s men’s team had not played such a showpiece for 55 years before he took charge in November 2016.

But England’s 2-1 defeat to Spain made them the first country to lose two consecutive European Championship finals and Southgate decided to resign following the defeat.

In a heartfelt statement, Southgate spoke of his pride in leading the nation, recalled his many years of service as a player and manager and thanked England fans for their support.
