Taco Bell has angered its customers by reducing the size of its soft drink cups.
An employee at this Mexican fast food restaurant said his medium soda drinks shrank in size after a cup change.
A Reddit user, claiming to be a Taco Bell employee, posted a side-by-side photo of the old and new medium cups on the site.
The new mug, which reportedly launched in June, appears to be shorter than the original 20-ounce medium mug.
“I work at Taco Bell and with the recent delivery, a coworker and I noticed that the medium cups have been reduced in size,” the user wrote.
A Taco Bell employee posted the new cup sizes on social media.
Taco Bell customers have expressed outrage over apparent staff reductions
‘I filled the smaller of the two cups to the top and poured it into the original medium cup.
“It came out about half an inch from the top,” the employee explained.
‘The new cups are definitely smaller, but probably only by an ounce or two.’
Other Reddit users agreed with the author and revealed their own recent purchases in the comments.
‘The mug on the left is the medium one that came with my Cravings Box two days ago,’ one user wrote.

“The one on the right was today’s and I knew immediately that something was wrong. Why the change? To save an ounce of soda?” they asked.
“Honestly, we should start boycotting,” wrote one outraged customer.
“I don’t want to go back to Taco Bell until they come to their senses. This is totally insane,” added a third.
