The UCLA men’s basketball team, which fell to Arizona in the championship game of the Pac-12 tournament on Saturday night, is the No. 2 seed in the West Region and will play No. 15 UNC Asheville in the first round Thursday at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. Arizona claimed the No. 2 seed in the Southern Region and will face No. 15 Princeton on Thursday, also in Sacramento.
The UCLA women’s team, the No. 4 seed in the Greenville 1 Regional, earned the right to start at home. They will face No. 13 Sacramento State on Saturday at Pauley Pavilion.
The USC women head to Blacksburg, Virginia, as the No. 8 seed in Seattle Regional 3, where they will take on No. 9 South Dakota State on Friday.
The USC men’s basketball team, which lost to Arizona State in the quarterfinals, heads to the East Region as the No. 10 seed, facing No. 7 Michigan State in the first round on Friday in Columbus, Ohio. .
The tournament begins Tuesday in Dayton, Ohio, with the first four games. The first round begins on Thursday. The group of 68 women’s teams will be announced at 5 pm on ESPN.
