Lucas Holer’s 87th-minute volley secured Freiburg a point, as Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern Munich lost further ground to league leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
Bayern played their 2000th match in the Bundesliga, being the first team to reach that number, but fell behind to a great goal from Christian Gunter in the 12th minute.
Mathys Tel equalized for the visitors before half-time, while Jamal Musiala fired into the far corner to put Bayern up 2-1 with 15 minutes left, before being pulled back three minutes before the end of normal time.
