The official trailer for The Girl In The Pool was released on Tuesday and sees Freddie reunite with Monica Potter, 52, his co-star in 2001 film Head Over Heels.
The 48-year-old I Know What You Did Last Summer star plays Thomas, a successful man married to Kristen (Potter), but also having an extramarital affair with a younger woman.
Thomas’s lover visits him at his house on his birthday, but things take a deadly turn when she is discovered dead by the pool. Panicked, Thomas hides her body in a trunk in the backyard, moments before his wife surprises him with a birthday party in her backyard.

The official trailer for the thriller was released on Tuesday and sees Freddie reunite with Monica Potter, 52, his co-star in 2001 film Head Over Heels.
The trailer begins with Thomas’ lover stopping by his house and stripping to her underwear as they kiss by the pool.
But things get worse when his lover is seen lying on the ground, apparently deceased, with blood running down her face and pooling on the ground.
It is unclear how the woman died, but Thomas decides to hide her body.
The panicked man is seen placing her body in a storage trunk in his backyard. “I love you,” he says. “But I have a family.”
But shortly after the incident, his wife surprises him with a crowd of loved ones in their backyard.
Even though his family is there to support him, Thomas can’t wait for the festivities to be over. ‘How much more time do we have to do this?’ he asks his wife.
‘Why do you ask me that?’ Kristen asks.
In the bathroom, Thomas tries to calm himself and tells himself in the mirror, “Just breathe, everything is going to be okay.”
The horror begins after her lover arrives at her house on her birthday.

But soon after, his wife surprises him with a birthday party.
But his father-in-law, already suspicious of Thomas, overhears the conversation.
—Were you talking to yourself or your lover? his father-in-law asks when Thomas comes out of the bathroom.
Thomas’ anxious behavior surprises another party guest, who tells him, “I’ve been watching you all night looking over your shoulder.”
An unexpected guest also arrives at the party: the man married to Thomas’ mistress.
The worried husband tells Thomas and Kristen that he hasn’t been able to find his wife, but his Uber account revealed that she was last dropped off at Thomas’ residence.
His behavior surprises the guests.
