Their driver died, along with the driver of the vehicle that hit them.

Moore has since been described as a “giant” in Golden State political circles, having helped former President Barack Obama, among others.

The former mayor added: “I am deeply saddened for me personally because she is someone I loved and admired very much.”

And I am mourning democracy. (Moore) is someone who believed everyone should have a voice in government.

‘She never renounced the beautiful essence of democracy, even when it abandoned her. She infused this nuclear love into everything she did.”

Her close friend Kimberly Ellis told her NBC San Diego: ‘They were two almost twin flames who couldn’t stand to be apart in this life or the next, and they really had to be together when they were gone.’
