Former Las Vegas Raiders star Damon Arnette was reportedly arrested on weapons and methamphetamine charges in Texas last month.
Arnette, who received a community sentence in May last year after brandishing a gun in a fight with casino valets in Las Vegas, was fired by the Raiders in 2021 after a video of the incident surfaced online.
And almost eight months after receiving the sentence, the defenseman has found himself in trouble again after being arrested on January 6.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network has revealed that Arnette was arrested and charged with possession of less than one gram of methamphetamine and unlawful carrying of a firearm in Richardson last month.
Further details of the arrest are not available at this time.
Former Las Vegas Raiders star Damon Arnette was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and a firearm last month.
Arnette was released by the Raiders because of shocking footage from Las Vegas, which showed him waving a gun and threatening to kill someone.
He had been selected 19th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft following his impressive rise at Ohio State, before appearing nine times in his rookie season.
Prior to his release, Arnette had also lined up for the Raiders four times in the 2021 season.
In May of last year, Clark County District Judge Ron Israel imposed 50 hours of community service on him, as well as a $2,000 fine. The Las Vegas judge also told him that he should stay away from firearms.
