Former Miss Universe Australia Maria Thattil took to social media on Saturday to reveal the sad reason why she will not be attending Australian Fashion Week starting Monday.
The beauty, 31, shared a photo of herself looking in pain as she lay in a hospital bed and told fans she was still recovering after having her wisdom teeth removed.
Maria had a white bandage around her head as she looked sadly at the camera.
‘I will not be attending Australian Fashion Week. “I can’t feel my tongue, I’m trying to stay calm,” he told his fans.
Luckily, Maria’s AFLW star girlfriend Moana Hope, 36, was able to cheer her up by visiting her in hospital and posing for a gorgeous selfie with her.

Maria captioned the photo with some fun words: ‘Moana has a video of me right after surgery. “I’m going to wait until I can eat popcorn to see it.”
Australian Fashion Week will take place in Sydney from Monday 13 May to Friday 17, and will see a host of glamorous A-list stars attending and strutting their stuff.
