Former Manchester City Brazilian player Robinho has been arrested and sentenced to nine years in prison for rape.
Robinho, 40, was arrested on Thursday at his apartment in Santos.
He was convicted in Italy in 2017 for his role in the gang rape of an Albanian woman in a Milan nightclub in January 2013.
The former Premier League player, real name Robson De Souza, was one of six men found guilty of attacking the Albanian woman.
In 2020, an appeals court upheld the conviction, and the Rome Supreme Court rejected its final appeal against the conviction in January 2022.

A Brazilian court upheld the request on Wednesday.
