A Florida woman caught stealing more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from Walmart told cops she was just playing a “game” while laughing and saying “it was so funny.”
Amber McCann, 30, was arrested by police at a Walmart store in Palm Coast, Florida, on Monday, March 25, after leaving with a cart of stolen items worth $1,030.

‘A car? Yes, that’s me,” McCann replied nonchalantly to the office.
McCann explained that she was playing a game called ’21’, which involves taking as much merchandise as possible and leaving without paying, trying not to get caught.

Upon searching McCann’s boyfriend’s vehicle, authorities found approximately $1,030 in stolen property in addition to illegal drugs.
“It was a game I was playing,” he said. ‘It’s really fun!’
“Well, it’s not a game, it’s a robbery,” a police officer told him. “It’s okay, going to jail is fun.”
‘I guess. Am I going to go to jail? —He asked the officer.
“We’ll see how many things you took,” the officer responded.
“It’s a load of shit,” McCann responded while laughing.
In Florida, shoplifting between $100 and $300 can result in a first-degree misdemeanor, with up to 1 year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Shoplifting between $300 and $20,000 can result in a third-degree felony, up to 5 years in prison and a $5,000 fine, and more than $20,000 is a second-degree felony with up to 15 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. .
McCann initially claimed he placed the stolen items in a random car and drove off upon seeing police in the area.
However, she later admitted that the car belonged to her boyfriend, but claimed that he knew nothing about the illegal activities she was involved in.
“I thought you said it was just any car,” one officer said.
“Yes, I know, I lied to you,” McCann replied.
‘My boyfriend doesn’t know what I steal. And he doesn’t know I put all this shit in the car either,” McCann said. “So I’m going to have a lot of problems with him, but that’s the thing.”
