A flight attendant has shared the real reason behind the tiny black triangles often seen on plane walls.

Henny Lim, a flight attendant with Philippine airline Cebu Pacific, revealed that the triangles indicate the best place on the plane to see the wings clearly.

In a now viral TikTok video She said the stickers above the center windows provide the best view of the wings for passengers – but also let flight attendants know the “best vantage points for the exterior slats and flaps.”

The short clip has since garnered over 304,000 views, with many admitting they never noticed the little sticker before.

“Passengers sitting next to the triangles have the best view of the wings,” Henny wrote in the video as he recorded the interior of an empty plane.

“If you’re flying on an airline that lets you choose your own seat, look for one of the triangles in the cabin.

“Anyone who likes to take photos or videos from the windows will enjoy the best view of the wings from these seats.”

“Very informative,” one person commented, another said: “Thank you very much for the advice. »

Previously, Henny also revealed the real reason why airplane windows all had tiny holes.

She said punctures are also called “bleed holes” and are critical to safety.

“The little hole helps balance the pressure difference between the cabin and the outside air,” Henny said in a video.

Airplane windows are made of three layers of glass and acrylic to keep them insulated and secure.
