Three children and one adult have been airlifted to hospital after a horror crash which left eight people trapped on the Hume Highway.
A van had rolled down the road between Sydney and Canberra, near Marulan, around 12:00 on Tuesday.
The driver and seven passengers were trapped before bystanders freed them, New South Wales Police said.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene, but an adult and three children were airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
The accident closed all southbound lanes of the Hume Highway, with a diversion open at Jerrara Road.
Police are now investigating the circumstances of the accident.
