Finland is anxiously awaiting Teemu Pukki’s eligibility for the European Championship after the forward suffered an ankle ligament injury while playing for Norwich.
Pukki, who has scored 26 goals for the Canary Islands this season, was sent for scans after being injured in the 4-1 win over Reading last weekend.
The forward now faces a race to be fit for the postponed Euro 2020 competition, the first major tournament Finland has qualified for in their history.

However, they expect Pukki to recover in time for their first match against Denmark on June 12.
The 31-year-old, who has scored 30 goals in 89 international games, will join his teammates in a pre-tournament training camp later this month.
A statement on the Finnish Football Association’s website said: ‘Teemu Pukki has suffered an ankle ligament injury, which, according to current estimates, will take several weeks to recover.
The injury does not require surgical treatment, but rehabilitation takes time.

Norwich will also be without Oliver Skipp for their last game of the season against Barnsley. The loaned midfielder has returned to Tottenham and has undergone surgery on a broken metatarsal bone in his right foot.
