- Orlem Brandon Serrao made the gruesome discovery Thursday
- He put his finger on ice and reported the incident to the police.
This is the touching moment a “traumatized” doctor claims to have found a human finger inside his ice cream in India.
Orlem Brandon Serrao’s sister ordered three Yummo ice cream cones and had the desserts delivered to her brother’s house in Malad, Mumbai, on June 13.
He dipped into one of the frozen treats to cool off from the heat wave, but was taken aback when he felt a solid object on his tongue.
Luckily, he did not swallow the object. She spat it out and was horrified to see what appeared to be a severed human finger embedded in his food.

Orlem Brandon Serrao’s sister ordered three Yummo ice cream cones and had the desserts delivered to her home in Malad, Mumbai on June 13. She was surprised to find a strange object sticking out of the ice cream (pictured).
Serrao said he carefully examined the object and decided it was a finger after realizing he could clearly see a fingernail and a fingerprint.
“After I ate half the ice cream, I felt a solid chunk in my mouth,” Orlem said in horror, recalling his shocking discovery. “I thought it might be a nut or a piece of chocolate, but I still spit it out to check what it was.”
“I’m a doctor, so I know what body parts look like.”
Serrao said he carefully examined the object and decided it was a finger after realizing he could clearly see a fingernail and a fingerprint.
‘When I examined it carefully, I noticed fingernails and fingerprints underneath. It looked like a thumb. I’m traumatized,’ she stated.
He sealed the finger in an ice pack and handed it over to the police while filing a complaint. More gruesome images showed the finger in a plastic bag.
Whatever cut the fingers appears to have gone through the nail at an angle and cut about a half inch to an inch of the tip of the finger with it.
PTI News quoted a senior police official as saying, “The piece of meat, suspected to be a piece of human finger, has been sent for forensic examination to ascertain whether it is part of the human body.”
A case has been filed against the Yummo brand for “food adulteration and endangering human life,” according to the report.
