A self-proclaimed financial guru has revealed a “secret” in Apple’s return policy that many iPhone users are now excited to know.
In a TikTok video viewed by more than 4.4 million viewers, Faares Quadri explained that the tech giant has to replace defective products, such as chargers or AirPods, if there are no visible problems.
That’s because the fine print in the tech giant’s one-year warranty policy requires the company to replace or repair the product at no charge to the owner, but it doesn’t include the iPhone.
One person commented on the clip saying they tried the advice in the policy and received new AirPods after their previous pair didn’t work properly.
In a TikTok video viewed by more than 4.4 million viewers, financial influencer Faares Quadri revealed that Apple has to replace the defective product if there are no visible problems.
Quadri is a full-time financial content creator and has gained a large following on social media by sharing information about the company’s loopholes that will save consumers time and money.
In a back-and-forth exchange between him as a consumer and an Apple employee, Quadri waved his Apple charger in the air and said, “I got it last year and it’s already having problems.”
“And under your policy, if you buy an accessory and it stops working within a year and there are no signs of any physical damage, they will give you a free replacement,” he explained before a copy of the policy appeared.
Apple’s warranty policy explicitly states: “If a defect arises during the Warranty Period, Apple will, at its option, repair the product free of charge,… exchange the Product for a replacement product of the same model…” or provide a different model Replacement with similar features to the original.
Several followers said they wish they had known about the hack a long time ago, with one writing: “I probably spent a thousand dollars on chargers and Airpods and you’re telling me this now?”
The caveat is that you should be prepared when you show up at the Apple store; Simply bringing the product will not be enough.
‘Do I need to show proof of purchase? Or do you just need to bring the charger? one person asked.
The ‘finance guru’ responded: ‘Yes, proof of purchase, but if you bought it through your iCloud, they should already have it.’
According to Apple policy, if you buy an accessory and it stops working within a year and there are no signs of physical damage, the company has to replace it for free.
Another person confirmed that the trick works, writing: ‘I did this with my Airpods! I took them in for repairs and they gave me a new set.’
Quadri began creating content in 2020, two years before graduating with a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois – Chicago and while he was a finance intern at Kirkland & Ellis, a corporate litigation and transaction firm.
Its content is aimed at people who want to know why they should never cancel their credit card, how to get money from an airline when they cancel your flight, and other money-saving tricks.
“People call me a financial guru because of my experience and knowledge in investing, taxes, insurance, monetary psychology and real estate,” he said. wrote on your LinkedIn.
Their goal is to “help people achieve financial independence,” he added, and even those who are worried about the price of clothing like Lululemon or knowing how to buy a car within their budget will find videos that could help them save more of a few dollars. .
