A Ferrari crashed into a $4 million mansion once owned by financial guru Mark Bouris and firefighters are working to free a woman trapped inside the car.

The luxury vehicle crashed into a wall of the waterfront home on Robertson Place in Watsons Bay, an elite suburb in Sydney’s east, at 1.15pm on Thursday.

A woman in her 50s suffered chest injuries and was trapped in the rubble, while the driver, also in her 50s, suffered minor head injuries.

NSW Fire and Rescue crews and NSW Ambulance paramedics are working to free the female passenger from the vehicle and treat her injuries.

Images from the scene showed several police vehicles and fire trucks at the scene.

The rear of a black Ferrari could be seen on part of the footpath after the bonnet of the vehicle crashed onto the property.

Dozens of pedestrians had gathered in the area after the accident.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted New South Wales Police and Mr Bouris for comment.
