A man was arrested for claiming he tried to drown his children on a Connecticut beach.
A West Haven Police Department officer heard screams and saw an adult “deliberately drowning his children” in the water at 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
Backup officers were called to the scene near Ocean Avenue and Dawson Avenue and rescue boats arrived before the children were pulled from the water.
Emergency services took “life-saving measures” and the children were taken to hospital, where they are in an intensive care unit.
Romney Desronvil, 42, was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of risk of injury, according to WTNH.
