Andy Robertson has been hailed by Liverpool fans after his stunning goal-line clearance prevented the Reds from losing 2-0 against Crystal Palace.

Liverpool had been rocked by Eberechi Eze’s first goal against Anfield and were indebted to Robertson to avoid another blow.

Jean-Philippe Mateta took advantage of a slip by Virgil van Dijk and slotted past Alisson, and the Palace striker looked to have doubled the visitors’ lead.

Robertson raced back to produce a superb clearance off the line to save Van Dijk’s blushes.
