PDF24 Online: add text, save once and inspect the output

This is an original test of one text-overlay and download workflow, not a reliability guarantee or a test of editing existing PDF text. The fixture contains only synthetic data.

Steps performed

  1. Opened the current PDF24 Online Edit PDF page and uploaded the CC0 pdf-layout-v1 fixture.
  2. Used Add text to insert W2D-SAVED-ONCE-2026-09-25 at size 18.
  3. Used Save once. PDF24 showed that it had applied the edits.
  4. Opened the result in a separate Chrome PDF viewer and downloaded it.
  5. Inspected the visible page, extracted text with Poppler, read metadata with pdfinfo and compared it with the input.

Limits

One one-page synthetic file in one remote Browser session. We did not test mobile, autosave, crash recovery, server-deletion timing, arbitrary PDFs, forms, signatures, accessibility, PDF24 Creator for Windows or offline behavior. The official Edit PDF page distinguishes writing on a page from editing existing text and points users to PDF-to-Word for text editing.
