Eugene and Dan Levy are reportedly in talks to co-host the 2024 Emmys, four years after making history as the first father-son duo to win Emmys in the same year.
At this time, the actors, who created and starred in Schitt’s Creek for six seasons between 2015 and 2020, are still “in negotiations to host” the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sept. 15 with ABC.
The sources stressed that Deadline that “negotiations are ongoing and it is unclear whether an agreement will be reached.”
DailyMail.com has reached out to Dan’s representatives but has not yet received a response.
Over the years, the pair have teamed up on several projects, including performing the opening monologue at the 2020 SAG Awards together and guest hosting Ellen.

When Dan, 40, hosted Saturday Night Live in 2021, Eugene, 77, made an appearance during the episode.
In 2020, his show Schitt’s Creek was nominated for 19 Emmy Awards, and Dan received awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, Outstanding Comedy Series, and Outstanding Writing and Directing for a Comedy Series.
That year, Eugene took home the award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series.
Previously, Dan revealed that he distanced himself professionally from his father for five years to avoid accusations that nepotism was the reason behind his success.
In January, she spoke about how she kept her family tree a secret during her formative years on MTV Live as she wanted to establish her success away from her father.
It wasn’t until he believed he had made a name for himself in the industry that he approached Eugene to co-create Schitt’s Creek.
“I never turned to my father for anything,” he explained at a special screening of his show, Good Grief. “I think there was a part of him that always wondered why I never turned to him.”
“You know the culture, you know how easy it is to judge people who have grown up in the industry.”
She continued: ‘I had been through high school, college, on MTV and they didn’t know who my dad was when I auditioned for MTV, and they didn’t know for five years.

‘And then when I felt like I had established my own relationship with the audience and had a successful TV show, I felt like I had earned a place in the conversation, and that’s when I brought it in.
“It was only after that, when I finished the work and came up with the idea for Schitt’s Creek, that I knew I had what it took to make my project happen.”
Dan continued: “When you’re in those situations, you almost have to do three times as much work, and rightly so, to get to a point where you can go, like I did, to my dad and ask him to work for me.”
Schitt’s Creek premiered in 2015 and continued for six seasons, with its finale airing in 2020.
The film follows Johnny Rose (Eugene), the head of the family, who is forced to discover what it means to be a father and husband after losing everything and having to rebuild his life with his only remaining asset, a remote town called Schitt’s Creek, which was purchased as a joke birthday present.
Actress Catherine O’Hara, 69, played his on-screen wife Moira Rose, while Annie Murphy, 37, played his daughter Alexis, and Dan played his son David.
