Erin Molan will host Channel Nine’s coverage of the women’s cricket world cup after being called to replace axed commentator Todd Woodbridge.
The tennis-big confused cricket fans across the country when he took charge of the Ashes coverage of the channel last year.
Nine stayed with their decision to hire him, because Woodbridge acted as a compere during breaks, before and after matches.
But the new head of sport Brent Williams has decided to switch coverage again, bringing NRL commentator Molan in as a replacement for the nine-time Wimbledon champion.

The couple, who will change during the two and a half week tournament, have no history working with cricket.
It comes after Molan organized the coverage of the Australian Open network in Melbourne.
They are accompanied by former test batter Mark Taylor and former Australian wicket-keeper Julia Price as experts in the studio.
Nine will broadcast all Australian matches, the semi-final and the final, while Fox Cricket broadcasts the entire tournament.
Mel Jones and Isa Guha will comment on Fox Cricket, which will also include Megan Barnard and Alex Blackwell.
Australia will play against India in Spotless Stadium on Friday at 7 p.m.

Vautin was the face of the popular sports talk show for most of 24 years before he was fired without mercy in 2017 after the ratings dropped.
The program was finally bolted in October 2018, despite attempts to renew ratings with Molan in the lead.
At the end of last year, Molan faced a barrage of headlines because of her ‘feud’ with Andrew Johns.
Johns, who is considered one of the greatest rugby league players of all time, apparently found Molan “difficult to work with” and hated her “giggling.”
“He just doesn’t like working with her,” a source told Daily Mail Australia earlier.
The former Newcastle Knights star also refused to place his name in a statement supporting Erin, despite the fact that she was aggressively practiced on social media.
