Manchester United could be boosted by the return of five players for Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final showdown against Liverpool at Old Trafford.
Rasmus Hojlund, Mason Mount, Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tom Heaton are all in the running for the big game after training this week.
Top scorer Hojlund has been out for the last four games, while Mount has not played for a month.
Maguire last played in mid-February and Wan-Bissaka in mid-January, while goalkeeper Heaton makes a timely return to the bench in place of the injured Altay Bayindir.
Ten Hag is hopeful all five players will be available but will make a final decision after Saturday’s final training session.

“We had a good week,” said the United boss. ‘The players you mention returned to the field, partly at the beginning of the week and today they had a session and are all training.
‘I think (they will be available). Tomorrow we have a session. We have to see how they recover from this but it looks good.
‘Tom Heaton is also back and it’s also great that Mason Mount has trained with us all week. He had a few full sessions with us, so everything is looking good.’
