At least five people have been injured in a mass stabbing in Sydney’s south.
A major police operation is currently underway in Engadine.
A police officer and several bystanders were injured in the incident on Old Bush Road.
One person suffered cardiac arrest while a 40-year-old woman was rushed to St George’s Hospital with multiple stab wounds.
The suspected knife-wielding attacker is among those being treated by paramedics at the scene.
