The famous SW19 tournament kicks off next week and the teen has been battling a side effect in the lead up to the tournament.

And Raducanu warmed up for the competition, which starts Monday and continues through mid-July with some spikeball on a practice field.

The 19-year-old won the US Open last year in a thrilling and dramatic underdog story.

However, she has since struggled after contracting Covid-19 and suffering several injury issues.

She has only played half a set since the French Open after she retired from the sideline at the Nottingham Open two weeks ago, which she is cautious about, hoping to be well fit for the big fortnight.

Lacking a full-time coach, Raducanu has teamed up with former youth coach and family friend Jane O’Donoghue to help her through the competition.

Raducanu, recently named the 10th seed for the upcoming tournament because world number 6 will miss Aryna Sabalenka, also ran into TV host Gary Lineker, who took a picture with her.

The Match of the Day host posted on Twitter: ‘Just ran into the brilliant @EmmaRaducanu. So since it’s #NationalSelfieDay, here you go.’
