Pullin had been alone in the water at Palm Beach, on the Gold Coast, when he was flooded on Wednesday morning.

Paramedics performed CPR for 45 minutes on Pullin, but were unable to revive him.

Mrs. Swift and a handful of friends waded in the same waters her beloved boyfriend said goodbye to emotionally.

The group of mourners donned wreaths of flowers around their heads and surf swimsuits – one of Pullin’s passions was surfing in the summer.

Surfer Mick Fanning and Pullin’s father joined the mourners on a paddle as the locals mourned choosing to stay on land-planted bouquets of flowers in the sand.

Pullin suffered a shallow water drop during scuba diving and drowned on Wednesday morning.

On the morning of his death, the couple woke up late before Pullin decided to go get some sun.

Ms. Swift told the Daily Mail Australia that she had last seen her boyfriend alive just before he decided to go diving and said, “I love you, watch out for sharks.”

Bouquets have been steadily arriving since Wednesday afternoon and are partially buried in the sand to keep them in place overnight.
